Overview:
Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Command and Control Network (C2NET) System Engineer located at the 96 Cyberspace Test Group (96 CTG) at Eglin AFB, FL. This position provides system engineering support to the 45 Test Squadron Cyberspace Test Range flight, whose mission is to enable dynamic and agile testing to improve Air Force capabilities and lethality via expert cyber infrastructure support for the 96th CTG. The Cyberspace Test Range flight manages the C2NET enclaves used to enable and support development testing for the squadrons of the 96 CTG as well as provide other Information Technology services not supported by the 96th Communications Squadron. C2NET is a government-developed and maintained group of network enclaves. These networks are used to conduct development and certification testing of C2 systems and applications. These efforts include all hardware, software and networking equipment associated with the systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
(Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)
SECURITY CLEARANCE: (U.S. Citizenship); Active Secret
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 0-3 years of applicable technical experience is required. Six years of applicable technical experience may be substituted for the BS degree or four years of applicable technical experience with a technical Associate’s Degree.
CERTIFICATIONS: DOD IA Technical (IAT) Level 2 certification within 6 months of employment in accordance with DOD 8570.01-M DOD 8570 directives and supplementing AF regulations; AFMAN 17-1303 based on position responsibilities.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 3-10 years of applicable experience


OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

REQUIRED

  • System administration and understanding of installation, configuration, and troubleshooting hardware/software
  • User and Computer management in Active Directory
  • Basic administration of both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Strong independent and collaborative research skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate orally and possess technical writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team and lead/direct the work of others
  • Proficiency in the use and integration of MS Office applications

PREFERRED

  • Use and integration of programming\scripting languages: Bash, PowerShell, VBscript, JavaScript, SQL, Python
  • General understanding of DISA STIG controls, including the assessment and implementation thereof
  • Working knowledge of automation technologies and their role in a datacenter environment
  • Familiarity with virtualization technology (virtual machines and/or containers)
  • Basic understanding of NAS and SAN protocols, including CIFS, NFS, and iSCSI
  • Understanding of development test and evaluation processes, specifically the DOD Acquisition Lifecycle for program development and detailed knowledge of Air Force C2 test methodologies including DODI 5000.89_DAFI 99-103
  • Knowledgeable with the system development lifecycle, architecture, configuration, and security methods.
  • Knowledge of IT systems analyses and application software concepts, functions, techniques, and capabilities sufficient to evaluate emerging technologies in a development environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide system administration and cybersecurity support on C2NET infrastructure team.
  • Provide remote/on premises access to networks to support 96 CTG test objectives.
  • Maintain JAD/C2 Datacenter physical assets and configurations in accordance with HHQ security standards to match mission tempo.
  • Engineer representative test environments to support customer requests, utilizing virtualization suite or physical assets.
  • Attend required technical and security training (e.g., operating system, networking, security management).
  • Minor physical duties to include occasional lifting may be required to assist with hardware installation and maintenance.
