Collections Specialist Job at HOSKIN & MUIR INC
Job Summary: Performs a variety of accounting tasks related to collections.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle collection calls and emails to assigned customers with past due accounts.
- Handles customer account questions by reviewing monthly statements, helping to research and resolve account discrepancies, duplicate invoices and fees, incorrect pricing and working with sales as needed to resolve customer issues.
- Coordinates with outside sales to provide aging reporting and discuss customer account issues.
- Take incoming calls from customers.
- Contact customers with declined/returned payments.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software, advanced Excel skills

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Two Years College – Accounting Courses preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in collections. Computer skills – Sage 500 (Mas500) and manufacturing company experience a plus.
