CNA- Certified Nursing Assistant Job at Suncoast Community Health Centers Inc.
POSITION TITLE: CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT
FLSA: NON-EXEMPT
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Certified Nursing Assisting license in the state of Florida.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology
- Previous CNA experienced preferred
- Efficient oral, written and reading communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Demonstration of the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- BLS (provided by SCHC within 6 months of hire)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required (ability to translate).
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Observing/reporting patients vital signs and symptoms.
- Update electronic record information (PCP of record) and maintenance of appropriate components of electronic medical record, updating logs and completing forms.
- Clean, stock and manage all exam rooms, equipment, and supplies.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies.
- Adheres professional standards, federal, state or local requirements (i.e. OSHA)
- Protects patient's information (HIPPA, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.
