NEW BEDFORD, MA – Child & Family Services is looking for a full-time Clinician Assistant (BA Level Clinician) to be a part of the clinical team of the AMCI-YMCI (adult mobile crisis intervention - youth mobile crisis intervention) Program. AMCI-YMCI is an exciting and challenging program. This is a great position for a recent bachelor's level graduate or first year master’s level student looking to gain experience in the field.

SIGN-ON BONUS: $1000 (HALF IN YOUR FIRST PAYCHECK; HALF AFTER 90 DAYS)

Schedule Available:

  • Monday - Friday (9am-5pm or 10am-6pm)
  • Saturday & Sunday 11PM – 7AM
  • Sunday 7AM - 3PM

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field
  • At least one year of experience working in a human services field
  • Experience with computers, specifically electronic health records systems
  • Be extremely detail oriented and have strong follow up and communication skills

Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are not meant to be all inclusive and may be adjusted to meet the agency’s needs.

  • Primary individual to answer the phones in Emergency Services department
  • Identify available beds for clients who meet the criteria for a higher level of care
  • Monitor clients being served and boarded in ES via room check and or security cameras
  • Provide and triage clients requesting assistance via phone
  • Answer the door bells and triage clients
  • Use “wand” metal detector during all client triage situations
  • Inventory and store client personal items
  • Ability to document all tasks performed, using, both written and computerized methods
  • Exhibit competence in working with youth, parents and other caregivers of youth with mental health needs by assisting youth/families in integrating their voice in the decision making process.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled supervision, staff meetings, staff development and training curriculum to include (CPI) Crisis Prevention Intervention, which in some cases may require hands on activities to assure the safety of the child, family and worker.
  • Other administrative duties as required
