Job Title: Clinical Trainer

Summary: This position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the structure and implementation of Cedar Point Health staff level clinical positions training.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and improve upon on-boarding training of new clinical employees in group and/or one-on-one training

2. Works closely with site supervisors and the HR team members to ensure staff have a valuable experience through on-boarding

3. Develop and improve upon clinical training curriculum

4. Assign and assess clinical competencies of new clinical employees, ensures the new employee can work independently within 90 days of employment

5. Drives the clinical internal certification program

6. Works in collaboration with the DO to ensure clinical and EHR workflows are working well

7. Gives oversight to quality control

8. Assist in the development and updating of policies and procedures that aligns with best practices and standard workflow

9. Coordinates and conducts annual or recurring training

10. Participates to develop and implement clinical services and training strategies that address performance gaps

11. Work in collaboration with HR and site supervisors to recommend clinical staff for continuing education and development opportunities to enhance skills and promote retention.

12. Coordinates the training schedule for all Medical Assistants and Clinical Aides

Requirements:

1. Registered Nurse degree or higher preferred

2. Must have three or more years of training experience in a healthcare setting

3. Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records strongly preferred

4. Experience working with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physicians, and clinical support staff preferred

5. Impeccable organizational and time management skills

6. Proficient written and verbal communication

7. Attention to detail

8. Great interpersonal skills with a desire to continuously educate employees in both classroom and clinical settings

9. High empathy skills and understanding of effective teaching methodologies

10. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to adapt to various learning style needs

Experience: 3 years’ experience in a clinical training or similar role

Education: Registered Nurse Degree or higher preferred

Mental and Physical Requirements: Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending and lifting. This position requires a full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Must be able to use a variety of office equipment. May require working under stressful conditions.

Conditions: Normal office and exam room environment. The position requires the ability to work under pressure and with a diverse population, including staff, physicians, clients, patients, insurance companies, labs, hospitals and other members of the public on a regular basis. The position may cause exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinical environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
