Although, we require previous insurance verification/referral experience, this position is an ideal entry level role into healthcare and your character which can be described as reliable, trustworthy, and hardworking is so much more valuable than any academics you have achieved. As you assist our Case Managers to achieve the highest quality of continuum of care for our vulnerable patients who are injured or ill, you will have a keen eye for detail, peak organizational skills, and supreme multi-tasking abilities. But above all, your voice exudes compassion, kindness, empathy, urgency, and helpfulness. Exceptional phone etiquette is essential in maintaining a positive customer experience and allowing us to continue to be the most trusted home healthcare agency in Central Florida.

POSITION SUMMARY

Our Clinical Support Specialist's primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review Cases for Wound Updates
  • Enter All Update and Notes in the KanTime Database
  • Enter Authorizations and Schedules in System
  • Obtain Re-authorizations for Additional Homecare Services
  • Follow-up on Requests From the PCP for Services
  • Contact and Receive Authorizations from Insurance Company
  • Contact Clinicians (PT's, OT's, ST's) to Schedule Services
  • Request Home Health Orders From PCP's, Hospitals, and Specialist
  • Review Charts for Procedural Accuracy and Efficiency
  • Receive and Forward Faxes to Correct Departments
  • Confirm Patient's PCP's
  • Assist Patient's with Any Questions, Comments, or Concerns
  • Develop Good Working Relationships with PCP Staff and Insurance Companies

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Outstanding Customer Service Skills
  • Doctor Office Administrative Experience (Minimum 2-3 year)
