GENERAL SUMMARY:Reporting to the Program Administrator, the Clinical Supervisor-Residential is responsible for clinical supervision, treatment plans and implementation and support of staff of the agency's Residential treatment programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provides clinical direction and support to the Program Manager and Residential Services Workers. Works with consumers to develop individual solutions and strategies to achieve service plan goals.
- Provides clinical supervision to affiliated students.
- Participates in assessment of people referred to program, evaluating their clinical needs and compatibility with other residents and program supports.
- Works as a member of the Residential Services team and with the Manager to integrate operations and clinical components of treatment program. The team for the program consists of the Program Administrator, Nurse Consultant and the Residential Services Workers.
- Collaborates with Program Administrator in the development and maintenance of appropriate records and outcome measures.
- Develops and provides training as needed in clinical/treatment issues with the Program Administrator and staff.
- Seeks additional consultation and/or supervision when needed and as appropriate.
ADDENDUM FOR LEAD CLINICAL SUPERVISOR:
- Reports to the Manager of Residential Services.
- Reviews the EHR and/or MAR's to ensure that the services provided are consistent with best practice, assessment and treatment goals.
- Provides oversight of clinical activity within the program and provides clinical supervision to staff and student interns consistent with licensing standards.
- Implements and structures case reviews, participating as appropriate.
- Coordinates and facilitates peer meetings at least once per month as well as one-on-one supervision as required by licensing or as necessary for staff development.
- Monitors and manages staff compliance with agency and program policies and procedures.
- Provides leadership and promotes a positive agency image to staff. Facilitates effective and professional communications.
- Provides ongoing training for staff members as needed.
- Provides administrative and clinical supervision to assigned staff. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance management, performance evaluation, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Absent a qualifying medical exemption and pursuant to Maine's Covid-19 Vaccine Mandate, being fully vaccinated as defined by Maine CDC, is a requirement for this position.
- Must be licensed in the State of Maine as an LCSW/LCPC/LMFT conditional clinical or as an RN with Psychiatric Certification by the ANCC Board. Community mental health oriented training and/or experience as well as experience in residential services is essential. Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision.
- Familiarity with managed care system requirements preferred.
