WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Compassionate, quality health care doesn’t happen by accident. It happens as the result of careful monitoring of performance, efficiency and quality measures. Our Clinical Quality Specialist handles data abstraction from medical records to develop and implement performance improvement measures.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Conduct clinical inquiries to improve patient care.

• Lead and participate in performance initiatives to enable clinical practice reform.

• Participate in the development and implementation of evidence-based standards of care.

• Abstract, record, and submit data from the medical record for CMs Quality Initiative Programs.

• Utilize appropriate resources (software vendor, information service support, etc) to assure on time submission of data to CMS or other agencies.

• Perform review and analysis of electronic clinical quality measures.

• Provide education and report to providers, frontline staff and other personnel as appropriate for continuous quality improvement.

• Collaborate with other system facilities and departments regarding quality reporting and analysis.

• Participate in peer review activities which may include medical record review, committee support, and correspondence.

• Maintain records of work product as required.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

• Prior acute care hospital clinical experience.

• Demonstrate ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.

• Demonstrate knowledge of performance improvement methods.

• Analyze data from performance teams and reports from outside agencies.

• Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.

• Experience with Microsoft products.

• Flexible and able to adapt to change.

• Good organization skills.

• Clinical Interpretation of complex patient conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree - Required
• Master's Degree - Preferred
• 3 years Clinical Experience - Required
• Registered Nurse (RN) - Required
