Position Summary

Responsible for assisting providers with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in one of the following Medical Assistant Programs:
  • The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • The Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • The National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) certification from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Minimum of one year of Medical Assistant experience in corresponding setting.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for healthcare providers Certification.
• Minimum of two years of Medical Assistant experience in corresponding setting.

• College curriculum.
• EKG Certification.
