The Client Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efforts of the Marketing Department’s Client Development & Strategic Growth team. This includes generating early drafts of pitch materials, presentations, proposal outlines and other materials as needed, project and event coordination and management, as well as assisting with research and competitive intelligence requests and other business development-related needs. This is a valued position that helps drive the department’s initiatives throughout various practice groups, industry groups, and client teams. Additional responsibilities include maintaining practice literature and lawyer biographies; helping draft and edit submissions for surveys, awards and legal directories; coordinating sponsorships and associated promotion; generating analytics; and client development targeting.

This is a non-exempt role with hours scheduled 8:45am-5:15pm Monday - Friday. Additional hours as required.
This role can be located in our Chicago, Washington DC, New York, or Los Angeles office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Client development support, including generating pitch material, presentations (PowerPoint), proposals and timelines; support in proofreading and pitch preparation
- Sponsorship coordination and event planning support, including generating mailing lists, creating and distributing invitations, securing approvals, developing ad concepts and copy, maintaining RSVP lists and creating name tags, project planning, business development targeting, debrief activities, and related activities
- Coordinate distribution of client alerts and newsletters, including collaboration with conflict checks, proofing, obtaining approvals, and supporting general efforts of quality control and exigent delivery
- Act as project coordinator on non-CLE webinar process, delegating responsibilities across departments and ensuring deadlines and deliverables are handled and met
- Support practice group and client team structure by assisting with agenda planning, meetings, and consistent follow-up and accountability measures that drive productivity amongst partners
- Directories and surveys support, including project management and submission preparation
- Conduct research on competitors, clients, prospects, markets, etc.
- Update and track metrics related to communications and business development efforts/opportunities
- Draft, edit, and facilitate content for firm website and intranet
- Track matters for practice and industry groups
- Process, edit, and post lawyer biographies on the firm’s website, make general edits to the website and update related practice literature
- Support firm- and department-wide initiatives with additional responsibilities as requested
Qualifications and Other Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree in a discipline requiring writing, research and analysis preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Three or more years of marketing or business development experience.
- Law firm experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), experience with InterAction, Vuture, Foundation, SharePoint a plus.

Compensation:
Base Salary: $65,000-$80,000/year
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
