Description:
- Knowledge in all aspects of ConnextCare service lines with the ability to connect patients to the right location for support.
- Keen knowledge of the practice management system with understanding of the integration within the EMR
- Develop and oversee multi-site/department clerical schedule to ensure adequate coverage
- Oversight and management of provider schedules and templates to ensure par levels of provider coverage daily.
- Manage provider time cards, adding extra worked hours and PTO
- Oversee the training of new staff and administer competencies to evaluate understanding of roles
- Have flexibility to perform and provide coverage within the department when needed
- Work collectively with clinical leadership at the site to maintain efficient operations
- Dissemination of any pertinent updates to clerical staff
- Facilitate staff monthly meetings and update action register
- Must review and respond to emails in a timely manner
- Review and approve employee/provider electronic time cards
- Reconciliation and deposit of daily monies collected
- Oversee preparation and submission of orders for medical and business supplies within the center
- Coordinate interpretation services for patients included; sign language, Spanish, mandrin, etc.
- Work with Billing office to facilitate the collection of patient documents
- Perform chart audits and report findings/trends
- Monitor provider productivity, prepare reports and disseminate to providers weekly
- Address and resolve patient concerns within the center following the QI process
- Participate in employee recruitment and interview process and reference checks when applicable
- Address and resolve employee concerns within the office, following the disciplinary process when necessary
- Reference and adhere to the Employee Handbook
- Complete and administer performance evaluations
- Ability to react to and accept change constructively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
- Oversee daily processes to ensure that duties are carried out as written in organizational policies
- Facilitate completion of the various medical record audits
- To engage in Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives, including participating as part of the Clinical Care Team
- Other duties and responsibilities as may be requested by your supervisor or management
- Bachelors Degree preferred, Associates Degree required with prior managerial experience
- Supervisory/management experience required
- A background in medical record procedures
- Verbal and written communication skills, office applications needed
- Demonstrate proper judgment and decision making skills
- Comply with the organizations code of conduct, safety rules and adheres to all company policies
- Carry out job responsibilities in an ethical, effective and professional manner
- Ability to cooperate, work, and communicate with coworkers, supervisors, nurse managers and management
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite and electronic medical record system
- Accept direction from providers and management; possess the ability to work well and with compassion in stressful situations; must maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with both patients and co-workers
- Must be keenly aware of the importance of confidentiality in all aspects of the position
