Spur, the K-12 substitute management and staffing partner of Griffin-Spalding County Schools, is looking for enthusiastic and approachable individuals to fill substitute Clerical Assistant positions in Griffin-Spalding County Schools (GA). The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, adhering to the procedures and guidelines set by the school. They will have prior related experience working with Children and a great understanding of the importance of confidentiality in the information they handle. The primary responsibilities of this position are to offer clerical support through knowledge of office practices and procedures. Candidates are always expected to represent the school and program positively and professionally. Candidates must wear business casual dress and have a professional appearance. Duties:

• Performing secretarial duties
• Taking and transcribing dictation
• Composing correspondence from notes and oral instructions
• Operating office machines, computer terminals, and word processing equipment
• Typing letters, requisitions, surveys, and various documents
• Answering inquiries involving use of initiative and independent judgment within limits of established policies and procedures
• Answering the telephone
• Arranging appointments
• Establishing and maintaining files
• Compiling and preparing materials as assigned
• Maintaining strict confidentiality concerning student records
• Able to lift heavy objects up to 40 lbs.
• Performing other duties as assigned requirements

Qualifications

• Able to pass a criminal history background check through FieldPrint ($50.00 one time fee)
• Required online trainings

Compensation

• This position pays $104.00 per day
• Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 - 3:15 - hours may fluctuate
