Verify W-9s as necessary via the Internal Revenue Service website. Enter information into various systems as required.

Create and maintain documents housed in the claims system

Assist with monitoring and set up of system access

Review and obtain Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) data elements needed for statutory reporting. Ensure all settlement information is updated in CMS in a timely manner
-
Daily audit and approval of “Check Register” and/or drafts

Perform all cancel/rewrites of claims assigned by Manager. Assist with performing necessary changes to claims data entry

Create and monitor Personal Injury Protection Log
-
Prepare and verify report data as requested
-
Research and maintain documentation of positive pay suspect items after notification from accounting. Validate and maintain audit trail and copies to Controllers.

Research and review pertinent files identifying appropriate parties for Litigation Hold notification.

Assist with financial issues for claims and financial departments

Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned

Attendance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred
- Effective communication skills both oral and written with good interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving and resolution skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to identify potential problems and respond in a timely manner
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Ability to interact professionally with others
- Sit, stand/walk ambulatory
- Ability to lift 10 pounds
