Civil Engineering Technician
BH2M is a full-service civil engineering and land surveying consulting firm in its 45th year of business. From our headquarters in Gorham, ME we provide a wide variety of professional services to our Maine clients in the public and private sector. We currently have an open position for a full time Civil Engineering Technician. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a growing firm with a reputation for providing high quality service to our long-term clientele.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- 2+ years preferred in civil engineering design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Word and Excel
- Ability to utilize Civil 3D to develop and produce designs for infrastructure improvement projects that include grading, roadway alignments and profiles, roadway cross sections, and utility profiles
- Ability to prepare layouts and detailed design drawings from engineering notes and sketches
- Ability to prepare concept, design, and construction plans for review by clients and public agencies
- Ability to work closely with engineers to ensure that coordination is design effort is maintained
- Ability to document progress and project status timely and accurately, maintain organized work and files to allow access of project information by other team members.
