The pay range for this position is $70,000.00- $90,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This position provides excellent growth opportunity for candidates to work with a team of diverse professionals on a variety of projects in the public and private sector. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in site engineering or water resources engineering.
The individual filling this position will work under the supervision and mentoring of a Supervising Engineer or Project Manager level engineering staff on project tasks such as:
- Preparation of site plans and engineering studies for public and private development projects. Typical tasks include horizontal and vertical layout, grading, drainage/stormwater management design, and utility design.
- Collaborate with architects, ecologists, archaeologists, and other NV5 specialists in the development of permitting and construction documents.
- Coordinate with clients, utility companies, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare construction and permit packages (flood hazard area, stormwater management, soil conservation, etc.) for submission to local, State and Federal agencies.
- Conduct field visits to perform condition assessments and inventory of critical design elements.
- Provide construction support services, including shop drawing reviews and field inspections.
- Under the mentoring of supervising engineers, become familiar with Project Management basic skills pertaining to project budgets and schedules, and adherence to a project’s scope of work.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
- 2 – 5 years of experience (roadway, civil, or water resources engineering)
- Experience with MicroStation
- Experience with ACAD C3D a plus
- Experience with hydrologic modelling a plus
- Engineer-In-training (EIT) Certification is desired
