DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position performs a variety of professional and engineering work supporting implementation of Ch. 102 and Ch. 105 authorizations within the Permitting Section of the Waterways and Wetlands Program in the Northeast Regional Office. The primary function of this position is to provide technical and engineering work to support the implementation, planning, management, compliance and permitting programs associated with water obstruction, encroachments, and wetland protection related to Chapter 105/106 as well as to provide technical and engineering support for erosion and sediment (E&S) pollution control, NPDES construction permitting, and post construction storm water management (PCSM) related to Chapter 102.

- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Wilkes-Barre.

- Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
- Successful completion of the Civil Engineer Trainee training program; or
- One year of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline; or
- Four years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists, and an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- This position requires possession of a valid non-commercial Class C Driver’s License.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
