Westside Nursery Preschool of Baker County is looking for a qualified Director to join our team! Duties of the Director include ensuring the safe and effective operation of programs along with the owner; assisting in hiring, training and supervision of staff; assisting in purchase of supplies, equipment, food, and other materials necessary for operation. The ideal candidate should have 2 + years experience in childcare management/administration, and enjoy working as part of a team. If you have experience in this field, we’d like to meet you! Ultimately, a successful Director will support our facility in managing day to day operations, and ensure a safe and positive environment.

Responsibilities:

• You effectively manage the day-to-day operations to ensure quality throughout the center

• Assist in hiring, training, and supervision of teachers and other staff

• Assist in operating the center according to state licensing standards

• Assist teachers with the weekly development and execution of the curriculum and program activities

• Assist in purchase of supplies, equipment, food, and other materials necessary for program operations

• Assist in execution marketing plan (both internal and external) necessary to maintain desired enrollment

• Ensure a safe environment for the children in our care

Requirements:

• As Child Care Director you understand what it takes to inspire a team and build a great program

• You are a positive influence and motivate others to be their best

• Minimum requirement of 2 years in early childhood education, management/admin experience preferred

• Must be a team builder, highly organized and possess excellent customer service/communication skills

• Flexible and energetic

• Have the ability to juggle multiple duties

• Detail oriented

• Ability to resolve conflicts with staff and parents

• Computer proficiency including Word, Excel, and ability to learn other programs quickly

• Must pass a criminal background check

• Physical abilities- Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, and lift-up to 25-40 lbs
