Chief Financial Officer

Are you a talented, high energy financial officer or CFO? Do you have a passion for fostering growth and success through financial management and strategic partnership expansion? Have you developed strong corporate banking relationships and have solid experience raising capital?

As the CFO, you will be working as a strategic part of an innovative and progressive scientific company with a diverse set of product and technology offerings. You will need to manage complex, interdepartmental costs and revenues. In addition, in collaboration with the leadership team, you will support the strategic goals and develop an annual budgeting process that delivers a profitable “base business” that supports the strategic initiatives and growth of the company.

The right candidate will also need to have significant experience with spreadsheet financial modeling. This person must successfully interact with technical and scientific personnel, be able to have detailed interactions with these stakeholders and be able to independently find/ask the right questions to accurately identify needed cost/schedule/staffing needs to translate strategic plans into an actionable financial plan.

Responsibilities

• Drive the company’s financial planning
• Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
• Provide the CEO and Management team with analysis on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
• Control and evaluate the organization’s cash flow and capital structure
• Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
• Supervise all finance personnel
• Manage Banking relationships
• Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
• Oversee and maintain the company’s financial system
• Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies

Requirements and skills

• Prior experience as CFO or relevant role
• In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
• Ability to strategize and solve problems
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
• Technical/Scientific background a plus.
• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MS/MBA is a plus
