The Refinery/Chemical Operator will demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the Refinery process, follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures/policies, observe all written operational procedures, monitor all equipment and processes to ensure operating parameters are within defined operating ranges, troubleshoot and take corrective action when parameters are near or out of defined ranges, report any deviations from Health, Safety, Environmental, and/or Operational parameters, suggest improvements to the Refinery process, maintain a clean and organized work area in the plant and other operating areas, and follow the direction of the Lead Operator. The main emphasis of the Refinery Operator position is the successful hour-to-hour operation of the Refinery. The Refinery Operator will take proactive measures to ensure the plant is operating smoothly and is maintained in a safe condition. This will require you to work with your team to analyze deviations out of the norm and ensure the plant and other operating areas are clean and organized to ensure a safe work environment.
The Refinery/Chemical Operator position will function as a member of the Refinery Operations team, and will work a rotating shift position as determined by the Company. The Refinery process is a 24/7 operation, so hours may include some holidays and weekends. Occasional overtime is required.
