Chef- 7 Hours a Week! Job at Mile Hi Companies
Our weekly lunches are a benefit to the employees that should have diversity from week to week. The menu can vary from burgers and fries to taco bars to a creation beyond the product. A list of suggestions will be provided and you are welcome to add your own flair to take the product from its normal use to something special.
- Plan weekly meals that include two protein choices, vegetable/starch, salad and dessert. A list of products available from the warehouse for use will be provided. Additional spices / ingredients can be picked up from Sam’s club if needed.
- A menu along with the product order should be emailed by Monday morning for that week of lunch.
- Wednesday or Thursday morning (chef's choice of day), stock will be brought up from the warehouse for prep work. The chef will work for a 7 hour shift with a 1.5 hour window of serving from 11:00 to 12:30.
- The employees have a scheduled time to come though the lunch line to ease the flow of traffic during the serving block. There are roughly 250 employees to be served including 90 servings to be reserved for night crews.
- The chef will clean the kitchen space and all dishes used for lunch.
- A Mile Hi employee will join the chef at 1:30pm to sweep and mop the floors as well as remove all trash from the kitchen. In addition to the regular maintenance, the kitchen has a monthly deep clean by our sanitation department.
- Chef is required to follow food safety compliance.
