North Central Care & Rehabilitation is a skilled nursing center located in Spokane, Washington. Established in 1995, we are a 99 bed acute care facility that offers long term care, short term rehab and a secured Memory Care Unit. We are privately owned by the Hyatt Family, and for seventy years the Hyatt family has been dedicated to providing residents and their family outstanding care while respecting privacy, dignity and doing everything possible to enhance the quality of life for their residents. Position Summary
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will care for a group of residents each shift to ensure that their needs are met while providing excellent ADL care and promoting the psychosocial well being of each resident. Our CNA’s follow the care plan to meet the needs of each individual resident, assist the residents in maintaining the highest quality of life possible within the functional limitations of each resident and observe and provide a comfortable, clean, safe environment at all times.
- Gives/receives the nursing aide report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
- Reads and has basic understanding of behavior management programs.
- Must be respectful to residents, visitors, co-workers and interact appropriately for this setting. Residents and proper care are the number one priority for this facility.
- Must possess a positive attitude and understand the importance of teamwork.
- Observes and provides a comfortable, clean, safe environment at all times.
- Reports any suspicions or allegations of abuse or neglect to the LN right away.
- Answers call lights whenever and wherever needed.
- Handles on-call responsibilities as required.
- Demonstrates proper procedures for Admission, Transfer and Discharge.
- Demonstrate the ability to locate and follow the Nursing Plan of Care, Nurse Aide Flow sheet, and be able to document according to established procedures.
- Demonstrates the ability to locate emergency equipment.
- Complies with laws and regulations applicable to position and acts in accordance with North Central Care Center policies.
- Demonstrates proper feeding technique utilizing safe swallowing guidelines, assist and cueing as resident requires.
Requirements:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License in Washington State
OR
- Current Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) license in the State of Washington IF you have graduated from a Washington State Approved Certified Nursing Assistant Course within the past year and plan to take the Written & Skills test to obtain your CNA license within four months of hire. * Tuition reimbursement available if you paid for your course out of pocket and IF this is the first long-term care facility you will work at.
- Must have good attendance and be able to make it to work on time when you are scheduled
