The CO APM must have a working knowledge of the DOB's system and procedures and be able to maintain a relationship with the Building Department as well as the other City agencies.

Primary Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Understanding of the filing process for obtaining Final Certificates of Occupancy, and renewing Temporary Certificates of Occupancy every 90 days for projects.
  • Process Permit renewals
  • Schedule construction Inspections when required
  • Research specific data pertaining to Violations and C of O's
  • Monitor Violations through to dismissals
  • Obtain DOB/ECB Violation copies for Clients
  • Communicate with Clients and team members as needed regarding inspections and results
  • Withdraw Applications filed prior to building demolition filings
  • Review sign-off air conditioning units
  • Ability to effectively communicate with municipal staff
  • Be able to think constructively for the next step when having hurdles to pass
  • Index punch list items
  • Schedule construction inspections
  • Inspection-ready objections uploads
  • Provide and apply administrative updates and billing through system software - MetPro.
  • Execute and apply administrative tasks on DOBNOW.
  • Prepare, submit and follow up with the Post Approval Amendments per request.
  • Coordinate forms and packages for submittal to the Department of Buildings.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create charges in MetPro per billing procedures.
  • Create requests for proposals and change orders.
  • Request scanning for approval packages and send them to the client.
  • Upload documents to Sharefile per record-keeping procedure/s
  • Performs any additional administrative duties as required.

ADMINISTRATIVE

Must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Effective prioritization of assigned workload based on expectations set with the client
  • Compliance with deadlines to ensure the proposed project schedule is met
  • Navigation of government agency websites to determine the status of filings
