RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM:

  • Provides and maintains quality educational programs and ensures successful implementation of approved Company Curriculum.
  • Evaluates the work performance, writes observations and provides ongoing feedback to all teaching staff according to company procedures.
  • Provides teaching staff access to professional development.
  • Counsels and provides guidance to students regarding personal, academic, and behavioral issues.
  • Reviews lesson plans and provides approval or comments on a timely basis.
  • Ensures a safe, clean, attractive school and classroom environment conducive to learning.

LEADERSHIP:

  • Creates a vision for the school and positively influences all constituents to work toward and meet the vision.
  • Maintains compliance with accreditation and state licensing requirements as well as all applicable state and federal laws.
  • Builds effective relationships with other administrators, corporate and office staff.
  • Effectively delegates assignments and provides staff with opportunities for career growth.
  • Continually demonstrates and models professionalism in word, behavior, attire, composure, and knowledge.
  • Demonstrates high degree of integrity and honesty, including but not limited to confidentiality of company, student, family, and employee information as required by both company policy and federal and state laws.

PROFIT & EXPENSE CONTROL:

  • Manages school to achieve or exceed planned financial and enrollment targets.
  • Operates within budget and demonstrates proficiency in the budgeting process.
  • Effectively forecasts weekly, monthly and quarterly projections as compared to budget.
  • Effectively manages receivables, including bad debt.
  • Regularly (weekly, monthly, quarterly) keeps expenses in line with revenue.
  • Obtains and incorporates feedback on what he/she can do better to help the school, the individual and SEG achieve the objective of profitable/educational excellence. JOB DESCRIPTION Revised 3/18/2021

STAFF MANAGEMENT:

  • Recruits qualified staff to assist in development and implementation of curriculum.
  • Leads and supervises non-exempt level staff including teachers, teacher assistants, substitutes, and support staff (drivers, cooks, janitors, etc.), and ensures their compliance with all policies and procedures as well as state and local requirements.
  • Provides orientation for all new employees; provides opportunities for staff to engage in team interaction to build rapport and increase staff morale.
  • Provides appropriate staff development and in-service as needed in conjunction with both the

Education and Operations Departments.

  • Trains and develops teachers and other key staff members.
  • Retains the best staff by providing clear expectations and acknowledging individual contributions.
  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels by recruiting staff for current as well as for future needs.
  • Demonstrates the importance of feedback, documentation and informal development discussions which supplement the annual performance review. Provides corrective action when necessary in a timely manner.
  • Manages external vendors to ensure compliance with SEG policies, procedures, and standards. (i.e. dance, karate).

DEVELOPMENT:

  • Attends annual Principal Conference as well as local or regional training and development sessions as required.
  • Work in conjunction with the Education Team on providing in-service trainings.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS: EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of three years experience in education administration or business administration.
  • Minimum of one-year teaching experience required; three years’ teaching experience preferred. May substitute experience with an educational services company for teaching experience.
  • Meets minimum education and experience requirements to comply with applicable state regulation and accrediting boards, including holding any State required Director certifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
