CDL Examiner Job at 160 Driving Academy
We are currently seeking highly driven, safety minded and personable individuals to add to our high performing team of CDL examiners in Toledo, OH.
The selected individuals will be responsible for testing students on their Pre-Trip, Yard Skills and Road Driving.
Responsibilities and Duties
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain proper documentation of all examinations performed
- Emphasize safety concepts, principles and procedures
- Provide objective and professionally executed CDL A exams for Great Lakes Testing Services customers
- Administer the Ohio State CDL Class A driving exam including the areas of Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection, Basic Vehicle Control Skills and On-Road Driving
Qualifications and Skills
- MUST have a valid CDL Class A driver’s license
- Must possess a clean driving record: no more than 2 driving offenses or accidents in the past 2 years and no DUI in the past 10 years
- Must be physically able to operate a Class A motor vehicle
- Be patient and a good leader
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of CDL driving
- Must be available and willing to give examinations Monday through Friday
- Must be at least 25 years of age
- Must possess at least a HS diploma or GED
- Must have basic computer capabilities and know how to navigate a web browser
- Must bring a strong work ethic coupled with tenacity, self-motivation, and problem solving to get the job done and done right
- Any CDL A education experience is a big plus
