Catering/Dining Coordinator Under 500 (8 hrs/day) - Chef Job at Seattle Public Schools
Overview of Position
This position's responsibility, under the supervision of the Central Kitchen Operations Manager or designee, is to coordinate catering activities and dining room service at the District Learning Support Center.
Essential Functions
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Forecasts and orders food for established menus in the dining room and for catering assignments.
2. Oversees production of meals in the administrative dining room and catering functions, including work schedules to assure tasks are completed within allotted time..
3. Oversees the shipment of all catered food, supplies and equipment.
4. Coordinates special promotions and offers technical support,
when needed.

5. Assures proper care and storage of all food and supplies for the dining room and for catering.
6. Completes catering event forms for District kitchen production;

7. Maintains and schedules cleaning of kitchen and storeroom, as

8. Maintains records; prepares necessary reports, including count,

Typical Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: One (1) year of experience in quantify food preparation that included supervision, training and communicating with staff.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Menu planning and modern methods of food preparation, including recipe adjustment; acceptable product standards, including quality and recipe adjustment.
Ability to:
Establish and maintain good work relationships with staff; work as a team member; complete Nutrition Services records; audit and reconcile inventory and financial records; utilize the fundamentals of quantify food preparation; size, adjust and modify ingredients and or pan size correctly.
Licenses and Special Requirements: Must meet all the requirements of the Central Kitchen Assistant position.
