SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Facilities Attendant is responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance of hotel property appearance and facility operation. All decisions should be made in accordance with Comanche Nation Entertainment’s Mission Statement, objectives, and established policies, procedures, and controls. The Facilities Attendant’s performance is necessary for the hotel and the casino to reach their full potential in providing a superior experience for hotel and its guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following are major duties and are not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive.

• Performs preventive maintenance and repair. Maintains and repairs large areas and the facilities contained in those areas, including guest rooms, public areas, and offices.
• Performs general plumbing repairs. Paints areas and/or furnishings to maintain appearance. Makes general repairs of broken equipment, performs light carpentry work, and performs general repair on doors and windows.
• Maintains and cleans HVAC equipment and ventilation and replaces filters regularly.
• Responds to all guest requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Performs duties of a groundskeeper.
• Inspects public areas, facilities, lighting, fixtures, and furnishings daily, including interior and exterior of hotel, for any issues.
• Operates heavy machinery.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The physical requirements of this position include but are not limited to lifting, standing, and kneeling, all for long periods of time and on a regular basis, as well as the continuous use of cleaning chemicals. May work alone or closely with others. Work is completed in all areas of hotel. Must be able lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and capable of working in a fast-paced environment and in stressful situations. Must respond to multiple task interruptions and still provide service to internal and external guests in a professional and courteous manner. The workplace is also under constant surveillance both inside and outside the facility.

The Facilities Attendant will regularly be required to stand for more than 50% of their shift. Depending on weather, the Facilities Attendant will be exposed to extreme cold or heat, temperatures varying from below 32 degrees to 100 degrees or more, for periods of more than one hour.

Must possess strong telephone skills and be able to provide great guest service.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

5 years of work experience in facilities maintenance. Preferred candidate will possess work experience in hotel and/or apartment facilities maintenance.

Must be able to work with little supervision, have good judgment and decision-making skills, and be self-motivated. Must be able to operate heavy machinery and have knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general contracting.

The qualified candidate must be at least 18 years of age
