How you will contribute in this role

The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for receiving, posting, and depositing all payments received for the company. This position is an integral and critical member of the accounting team and a successful candidate will have the ability to function effectively in a fast paced and high-volume environment. The position is onsite at our corporate office (405 Colorado Street, Ste 1800 Austin, TX 78701) and will require an individual who is motivated, a self-starter, and capable of working independently with leadership to achieve organizational objectives.

• Process daily receipts ensuring prompt and accurate recording of payments to customer accounts.
• Monitor email to address inquiries timely and accurately.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts.
• Research and resolve unapplied receipts.
• Research and rectify payment discrepancies to ensure that the AR balances are accurately reported.
• Effectively communicate with customers, internal and external partners at all levels within the company.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the collection team, accounting, billing, and operations management.
• Performs other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Your qualifications

• 5+ years of cash application experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Oracle NetSuite Experience.
• Highly knowledgeable of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high volume, fast-paced environment, and a focus on making continuous improvements.
• Self-directed with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
