Case Management Supervisor Job at NAMI New Orleans
NAMI New Orleans seeks one (1) Full-Time Case Management Supervisor to lead our Law Enforcement Assisted
Diversion (LEAD) Response Teams (Master’s degree and 3 years’ experience required). LEAD is an evidence-based public health approach to policing that works to ensure individuals are not criminalized for underlying and unmet behavioral health needs. LEAD provides an opportunity for law enforcement to divert individuals before, or at the point of an offense for low-level crimes to social services rather than making an arrest.
NAMI New Orleans supports two (2) Response Teams that begin working with individuals immediately to address root causes that result in an encounter – or potential encounter – with law enforcement. Our LEAD teams include Case Managers and Peer Support Specialists who provide a wide range of services to assist individuals in accessing and engaging with community-based treatments and supports that promote recovery and resilience.
NAMI New Orleans adheres to a “discharge as last resort” and “sustained engagement” philosophy, stressing the importance of trauma-informed care, and a harm reduction philosophy.
