OCCUPATIONAL INSTRUCTORCARPENTRYThe Lower Pioneer Valley Educational Collaborative (LPVEC) is seeking a Carpentry Instructor to begin employment for the 2022-2023 school year. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to provide instruction and training in Carpentry at Lower Pioneer Valley Career and Technical Education Center. Job Description: Provide all instruction and training necessary to provide the necessary learning experiences to qualify students for placement in entry-level positions. Manage student behaviors, both individually and in groups.
Establish and maintain partnerships with parents, industry, and the community and encourage participation in program. Assure compliance with regulations of all state and local governing contracting agencies. Instruction and training of high school students in the Carpentry program necessary to guarantee the quantity and quality of learning experiences to qualify these students for entry level positions in local business and/or continued education. Work collegially with other LPVEC staff members.
Requirements: Valid Massachusetts DESE Occupational Teacher Licensure in Carpentry, or closely related field preferred.Minimum 5 years in the carpentry fieldMinimum 3 years of vocational-technical teaching experience preferred.Valid Carpentry Supervisor LicenseValid CDL Bus License or willing to obtainProvide transportation (using school bus) and supervision to students during Off-site experiencesExperience with all aspects of the carpentry field.Ability to interact with related business, industry, and public agency personnelAbility to interact with students, parents, teachers and local school administrators and staffPlease submit your application through www.SchoolSpring.com.
