Memory Care Caregiver Job Summary:

Memory Care Assistant's (caregiver) are a fundamental part of San Gabriel’s success in providing excellent care to its Memory Care Residents. As a memory care assistant, you will have the opportunity to get to know our Residents on a personal basis and provide loving and nurturing care to them:

- With your help as a memory care assistant, Residents will remain as independent as possible in their daily lives. Residents will often continue to require assistance completing some of their day-to-day tasks, such as eating, bathing, and doing chores.

- You will help to oversee and assist Residents in fun activities!

- Residents may need your assistance getting around within the facility.

- You will serve as a liaison between the Resident, other caregivers and providers, and family members to help ensure strong communication, which leads to excellent care!

- You may need to respond to medical or safety issues as they arise.

This is a perfect and rewarding position for someone with a passion for helping and caring for others! This position is a great opportunity to build professional skills such as customer/patient service, time management, communication, problem solving, organization, and independence!

With Part Time positions available, this is a wonderful opportunity for students, working parents, and full time workers looking to establish or continue a great career in the healthcare field!

Qualifications:

- Previous experience is not required; on the job training available to learn about your position, our residents, memory care, and healthcare industry information helpful to perform your job well!

- CNAs, CMAs, and RMAs are also encouraged to apply!

- Most importantly, we are looking for someone who demonstrates compassion, understanding, patience, accommodation, and a willingness to listen and help.

- Great communication and collaboration skills are very necessary in order to best serve Residents and coordinate care amongst members of the whole care team.

- You must be able to reliably commute to and from work.

San Gabriel Memory Care communities in Highland and Godfrey are assisted living residences dedicated to serving the unique needs of adults with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-related illnesses. San Gabriel is “home” to its residents, either for short-term stays or long-term residencies.
