AbilityPath and Via Services are hiring Camp Maintenance Assistants to join our team!

The Camp Maintenance Assistant assists in the maintenance and repair of the camp’s buildings, grounds, equipment and other facilities consistent with the mission and established policies and procedures of the camp.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Perform custodial and housekeeping duties and laundry
  • Move furniture and equipment to assist in program set up and take down
  • Perform general maintenance tasks such as light plumbing, carpentry and mechanical repair
  • Perform documentation and record keeping tasks
  • Assist in the cleaning and operation of the pools
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • One year of experience performing at least some of the listed duties
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid California Driver’s License/ID
  • Clean Driving Record (if applicable)
  • Proof of negative TB test results
  • Verification of occupational physical clearance
  • Pass a criminal fingerprint clearance
  • 18 years of age or job permit clearance
  • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination + first booster

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:

Employees have the opportunity to share access needs during the interview process, upon hire, and ongoing throughout their employment.   • Ability to physically respond to adults and children with developmental disabilities
  • Ability to operation lawn and all maintenance and repair equipment safely and effectively
  • Ability to lift/support at least 25-100 lbs as needed
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend frequently
  • Ability to sit and keyboard as needed
