Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour for training and $16 per hour when Summer Camp begins.

What You'll Do:
- Build a positive relationship with each camper and actively engage with campers to foster the positive development of each child and the group.
- Adhere to policies and procedures in a proactive manner, making the safety and care of children your primary focus.
- Actively facilitate and supervise campers during skills activities (ex. fishing, canoeing, archery, hiking, crafts, rock wall, and more).
- Lead camp songs, skits, games, outdoor education, and crafts.
- Assist in enrollment, recording, and submitting daily attendance records and any other required documents.
- Actively participate in all aspects of staff development, including team meetings, and pre-service training.
- Hike camper groups to different activities outdoors and are frequently in the sun.
- Promote the YMCA's character values, mission, wellness philosophy, and role in the community.
- Lead by example the Y’s mission, vision, and values with program participants, members, staff, and guests.
- Become an Ambassador of the Y’s work and culture by being the ultimate storyteller of who we are as an organization and brand.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the Purpose:
- Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 18 years old and have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Availability:
- Flexible availability on Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 am – 6:30 pm.
- Oboarding and training begin May 2023.
