Our Daily Bread, a local café located on Brambleton Avenue, is hiring for an Assistant Café Manager. We are searching for a reliable, innovative assistant restaurant manager to supervise operations at our bustling café. Our café offers breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as baked goods. The assistant restaurant manager's duties include scheduling shifts, balancing cash registers, overseeing payroll, coordinating and directing well-run shifts, as well as addressing customers' complaints and queries in a swift, courteous manner.

To be successful as an assistant restaurant manager, you should implement measures to minimize costs and improve profitability. An outstanding assistant restaurant manager will contribute to the professional development of staff.

Assistant Restaurant Manager Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing the restaurant.
• Running shifts in a manner to give optimum customer satisfaction
• Appointing, inducting, and mentoring new staff members.
• Scheduling shifts and assigning stations to front of the house staff
• Working in positions to provide maximum service as needed: cashier, barista, etc.
• Resolving customers' questions and grievances in a professional manner.
• Conducting payroll activities in an accurate, timely manner.
• Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.
• Purchasing new ingredients, kitchen utensils, and equipment as stock is damaged or depleted.
• Sourcing better deals on all resources and equipment that warrant replacing or replenishing.
• Recording all income and expenses and ensuring that cash registers are balanced.

What we are most looking for in an assistant manager is someone who can direct an extremely high-volume restaurant in an efficient manner and can give an optimum customer experience. We believe in exceptional hospitality and making sure that every shift runs as smoothly as possible. Being able to think on your feet and find solutions to always give the optimum customer experience is one of our top priorities.

Experience is preferred, however, we are willing to train a friendly, outgoing individual willing to learn quickly.
