CAD Technician I Job at JHTNA Manufacturing LLC
Description:
Johnson Health Tech is looking for a CAD Technician I to assist our New Product Development team with creating plans and instructions for manufacturing new strength fitness equipment, as well as maintaining build books for current products.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare CAD drawings to include flat patterns and all dimensions required to fabricate parts.
- Prepare rough drafts of product packaging specifications after evaluating and reviewing appropriate drawings and models.
- Prepare explanatory notes giving specifications of material, finish, or heat treatment.
- Revise existing drawings
- Create, maintain, and distribute build books to appropriate production department
- Create and maintain drawings and part specifications
- Work with vendors on new parts for new and existing products
- Work with design team during development of new products, custom requests, and engineering changes
- Assist Manufacturing Engineer with cost downs and efficiency projects
- Complete special projects as assigned
Skills & Abilities:
- Basic mathematical skills and reasoning
- Knowledge of design programs like SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Excel
- Achieves high percent of task target dates.
- Willing to assist others when his/her tasks are complete.
- Able to handle multiple projects
- Able to follow tasks to completion in a timely manner without sacrificing quality

Requirements:Requirements:
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required. Two-year technical degree in Drafting preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
- Must be proficient in SolidWorks and have a basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Previous use of Excel and Microsoft suite
- Metal fabrication experience preferred
- 1-3 years related experience
