CAD Engineer - Contract Job at HTI - Human Technologies, Inc.
This is a contract position.
Position Summary: Be willing to work under contract. Works integrally with machine and equipment suppliers, engineers, and other plant personnel in design, integrate, and improve manufacturing machining and assembly lines. Evaluate and implement construction blueprints and supplier drawings into plant database.
Position Responsibilities:
- Preparing design and detail drawing using AutoCAD.
- Reviewing vendor/supplier data and integration into layout.
- Reviewing designs and drawings proposals and changes.
- Cross coordinate with engineers, group leaders, and other team members.
- Create plant layouts for equipment installs using AutoCAD.
- Interface with maintenance team and outside contractors to facilitate proper install of plant equipment for new lines.
- Evaluate design and process improvement of manufacturing lines.
- Support facility management and tracking of plant layout drawings.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Microsoft Office application to create and manage layout related work.
- Understand and comply with IATF - 16949 and ISO 14000 requirements.
- Supports and complies with established Company’s Corporate Principles.
- Provides support to Sr. Engineers in trouble shooting activities on product issues.
- Conducts routine test activities and analysis of data according to established test procedures.
- Other duties as it relates to this position.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Associates Degree (preferred in Drafting or Engineering)
- 6-12 months before graduation or one (1) year of related discipline or related experience.
- Knowledge of construction methods.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and knowledge of other CAD tools.
- Proficient computer skills, strong MS Office (Excel) and knowledge
- Good communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Able to meet deadlines without compromising the design and technical intent.
- Proficient in English.
Preferred Skills and experience:
- Four (4) years of experience in assembly/manufacturing environment.
- Four (4) years of experience in plant layout, logistics and blueprint reading.
