SUMMARY:

Growth in our organization has increased the need for business systems. This role is new and we are looking for a self-starter to join a mission-driven and caring team. We look forward to better leveraging technology to meet the growing and complex needs of our organization.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following.


  • Create and manage a 1, 3 and 5-year IT plan for the org
  • Coordinate on-site and home office support for all staff
  • Work with an IT “user group” that supports and oversees outside IT support
  • Develop a staffing strategy to implement and support business systems
  • Coordinate workflow and upgrade communication software tools throughout the organization
  • Evaluate and oversee program and finance specific software programs including leading and implementing a payment processing system for the full cycle of purchasing, approvals and payment
  • Develop and maintain a tracking system for racial equity investments and recommendations for increasing investments in BIPOC owned businesses
  • Evaluate current document retention systems and propose and implement changes
  • Assist with insurance renewals and certifications
  • Coordinate vehicle purchasing and maintenance
  • Document desktop procedures to reflect the duties and responsibilities of this new position.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum three years of work experience in business systems and/or information technology, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
  • Experience with a large organization preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills for external and internal constituents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player.
  • Commitment to advancing racial justice and supporting a trauma-informed approach with colleagues and stakeholders


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Current Oregon Driver’s License and current automobile insurance


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read, write and speak English both in person and by telephone. Ability to read and interpret accounting regulations, contracts, insurance policies and other complex material. Ability to produce written financial narrative reports for a variety of audiences.


REASONING ABILITY:

Must be able to prioritize and work under demands of short time lines. The individual must possess the ability to reason logically and methodically.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee must be able to sit for long periods. He or she must be physically able to operate a telephone, fax machine, computer, ten-key, and copy machine. Some walking is required. Occasional lifting of up to fifteen pounds may be required.


VACCINATION REQUIREMENT:

As of December 15, 2021, Human Solutions will require that all of its employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical or religious exception and accommodation plan as a minimum qualification for their position.
