THE ROLE

The Business Process Specialist – Engineering opportunity is in the Atlas Copco Vacuum Technique (VT) Business Area's VTIS (VT Information Systems) department. In this role you will be part of the SAP Process Team, working with SAP Global Process Owners, other process specialists, Project Workstream Leads, and local Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to:

• Evaluate, design, implement, deploy, and measure processes within our SAP ERP systems
• Develop our VT SAP template to accommodate new and changing business requirements and to ensure that processes are in harmony with the organization’s strategic goals
• Deploy the SAP template to VT Product Companies (PC) and Customer Centres (CC)

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

A Business Process Specialist must be an effective change agent; more than just rearranging the steps on a flow chart it also requires the ability work with the employees affected by the change

• Work collaboratively to improve the management of a business process.
• Assess AS-IS and establish the core business requirements for the TO-BE systems/processes
• Identify improvement opportunities via process analysis and collaboration with local business SME’s. Be central to the development of processes from beginning to end
• Support innovations that will impact results, enhance profitability, and assist the organization to consistently meet its business objectives and goals.
• Manage small developments and lead activities within in larger functional projects
• Lead workstream activities for cross-functional SAP deployment projects
• Be a subject matter expert in a range of processes relating to data migration and testing

EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING

• Process improvement experience:
  • 3+ years applying knowledge and skills showing that: you know the value of process, you can define and lead change, you can design and implement sustainable processes, your methodology is robust, and you can find and address the cause not the symptom
• Business Systems literacy
  • 3+ years working ERP systems (preferably SAP ECC MM, PP ECM, DMS modules)
  • Some experience of working with at least one of PLM, CAD, MES
• Domain knowledge and skills (2+ years)
  • Understanding of product design and discrete manufacture processes (low volume, high mix)
  • Experience of New Product Introduction and Engineering Change
• Project experience
  • Delivery of Quality solutions balancing cost, delivery & grade
  • Team member or team lead
  • change management and training
• Successful completion of a bachelor's degree (or higher) in an applied discipline

A+ (but not required)

• Certifications: Project management, Training, SAP functional training

The role will be based in the Northeastern United States with preferred locations being close to Haverhill, MA. There is an expectation of regular travel for periods during key project phases, these are typically up to 1-2 weeks duration.
