Position Overview
StepStone is seeking a Business Development Analyst in Owings Mills who will help manage key attributes of the firm's fundraising and client service initiatives focused on strategies managed by the Venture Capital and Growth Equity team. To excel in this role, the candidate must have strong organizational and time management skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment. Essential Job Functions
- Update, maintain, and analyze the firm's CRM (Client Relationship Management software) as guided by the Senior Investor Relations Team
- Work closely with Senior Analyst and Associate, as well as Director/Managing Director, on all incoming requests for subscription paperwork and/or marketing materials from existing investors as well as net new prospects
- Engage in daily input and maintenance of key performance indicators for client-facing team members into firm CRM with a defined process enabling on-demand reporting for team Partners
- Conduct research and analyses on existing and prospective investors for the senior Investor Relations team and firm Partners
- Work with Senior Analyst/Associate/Director/Managing Director on key strategic projects
- Attend all relevant internal/external meetings
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; focus on finance/economics/accounting preferred but not required
- 1-3 years of work experience in a similar position within a financial institution
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Exercise sound judgement and personal discretion to appropriately address complex questions
- Strong organizational skills with hyper focus on details and quality assurance
- Ability work well with many constituents in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet stated deadlines
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM systems preferred
- Comfortable in a very fast-paced work atmosphere
