Business Analyst II - Sacramento Job at Self-Help Federal Credit Union
The Business Analyst II will be responsible for collecting credit union reports, analyzing raw data, writing and delivering high quality accurate reports to meet business requirements. The reports will be used by organization leaders for decision-making. Works with leaders to analyze and develop standards for preparing and delivering business reports. Contributes to the overall improvement of business reporting by assisting with maintaining a data warehouse and implementing processes and initiatives that ultimately increase the effectiveness and integrity of data reporting and documentation. Must have excellent analytical skills, strong eye for details, strong organizational multitasking abilities, and be able to work on tight deadlines. Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Power BI is a must for this position.
What you'll do:
- Design business analysis and reporting for use throughout the department
- Collaborate with internal data intelligence group to design data processes and reporting standards, ensure data accuracy, and resolve reporting requests
- Ensure accuracy of data. Regularly examine data reports/dashboards to locate and resolve mistakes
- Accurately analyze and collect data for various types of business reports
- Create business reports that provide insight into key data points
- Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to managers
- Support various departments, including branches, marketing and resource departments, in reaching their goals through analysis
- Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through process improvement and effective collaboration with stakeholders.
- Monitor data to identify changes in financial and business trends
- Track report requests, prioritization, etc.
- Support develop and implement quality controls and data standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need:
- Three years of experience as a financial or business analyst
- Experience in analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports
- Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks and/or projects to meet deadlines and ability to adapt to change
- Proficient in SQL, Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs and charts, Microsoft Power BI
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers
- Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions
- Attention to small details that could impact results
- General knowledge of financial institution, objectives, strategies, process and information flow

- Preference for working in organizations that place priority on teamwork and collaboration.
- Interest in social justice and consumer advocacy preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel and work additional hours as needed.
- Ability and willingness to work a hybrid-remote schedule.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field OR 3+ years of equivalent related experience preferred.
Salary Range: $64,480 – $81,800
