Building Substitute Elementary School Job at Ledyard Public Schools
Ledyard Public Schools is seeking dedicated Building Substitute Elementary Teachers for the 2022-2023 school year. Building substitutes will be assigned to a singular school and report daily to the building administrator each day while school is in session.
As a building substitute teacher you serve a vitally important function in the education of our students. Building substitute teachers are responsible for following lesson plans, supervising students, maintaining a classroom environment conducive to learning and are respectful of the needs of students.
Qualifications:
- Connecticut teaching certificate preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Enthusiasm for teaching and learning
For applicants interested in substitute teaching but do not hold a bachelor’s degree, a brief waiver application (which we will provide) will be submitted to the CT State Department of Education. Applicant must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Pay:
- The daily rate for building substitute teachers is $100.
