Principal Duties and Responsibilities –Branch Manager
- Supervises the Branch activities in the areas of daily operations, community involvement, and sales and service of account relationships. The Branch Manager will report to the Vice President /Regional Manager on the status of each area.
- Competency in lending, including mortgage loans and other residential loans and consumer loans. Will carry out lending responsibilities in accordance with IB loan policy.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with IB policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; Performance Management process and recommending salary increases; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Coordinates work schedules, PTO/time off including timesheet, time & attendance approvals for payroll.
- Assists with training new employees and identifying CSR and staff training needs.
- Performs account opening and offering depository advice as needed
- Assists in the front-line w/ CSR’s on an “as needed” basis
- Promotes IB Products and Services and other special bank promotions and initiatives.
- Assists branch personnel and customers in resolving difficult transactions and/or customer and transaction disputes
- Attends BM and UB meetings as necessary
- Serves on committees as necessary.
Branch Manager – Specific Competencies
- Knowledge of the banking services and products offered at Ixonia Bank.
- A working knowledge of banking laws and regulations as pertaining to depository procedures and retail lending procedures.
- Experience interviewing loan applicants, underwriting consumer and mortgage loans and closing loans.
- The ability to manage and direct the activities of subordinate employees. This would include, but not be limited to, scheduling, training, conflict mediating and resolution, disciplining, and performance management and evaluations. It is expected that all personnel activities would be administered in conjunction with the personnel policies and procedures of Ixonia Bank.
- Assure that maximum security procedures are established and followed at all times to protect the customers, employees, and bank assets.
