The Billing Technician works with insurance companies and other billing staff to ensure that client services are accurately billed for.
Knowledge, Skills, and Essential Functions
- Excellent written communication and proof-reading skills
- Effective verbal communication and telephone skills
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must display excellent organizational skills and time management
- Stooping, bending, sitting, standing, keyboarding for prolonged periods and lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation required
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Revenue Cycle Operation experience with a background in billing, follow-up and appeals. General office with some experience in bookkeeping & accounting preferred:
- Experience in billing or contract services or medical coding is preferred:
