As an Accounts Payable Specialist, a typical day might include the following:

• Processing high volume locations invoices and maintain A/P record keeping
• Issuing timely payments to vendors through weekly check runs and ad hoc check requests
• Evaluating supplier discounts and apply accordingly
• Reconciling invoices, purchase orders and inventory received
• Managing merchandise order discrepancies and manage credits due if applicable
• Reconciling vendor statements and coordinate with vendors on any discrepancies
• Being an active team member in month end close process
• Collaborating cross-functionally on systems and processes to support business needs and drive continuous improvement including operations and restaurant management
• Other duties as assigned

This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years accounts payable experience required
• Hospitality industry experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
• Basic understanding of G/L accounts and Inventory accounting experience a plus
• Great Plains experience a plus

• This full-time position is located in beautiful new office in the Seaport area with scenic water views. This role is office-based and is NOT a remote or hybrid opportunity
