As an Accounts Payable Specialist, a typical day might include the following:
- Processing high volume locations invoices and maintain A/P record keeping
- Issuing timely payments to vendors through weekly check runs and ad hoc check requests
- Evaluating supplier discounts and apply accordingly
- Reconciling invoices, purchase orders and inventory received
- Managing merchandise order discrepancies and manage credits due if applicable
- Reconciling vendor statements and coordinate with vendors on any discrepancies
- Being an active team member in month end close process
- Collaborating cross-functionally on systems and processes to support business needs and drive continuous improvement including operations and restaurant management
- Other duties as assigned
This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years accounts payable experience required
- Hospitality industry experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
- Basic understanding of G/L accounts and Inventory accounting experience a plus
- Great Plains experience a plus

- This full-time position is located in beautiful new office in the Seaport area with scenic water views. This role is office-based and is NOT a remote or hybrid opportunity
- Job functions require hours of sitting, typing, and use of a computer
- Workplace can have moderate to high stress levels
- Non-typical office hours may be required including evenings, weekends, and holidays
