Grow With Us! The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to build relationships and service our benefits clients.
Position Summary:
This position will report to our agency located in Cheboygan, MI. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in-office opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work directly with producer on renewal completion for all assigned clients
- Phone and email inquiries with company owners/HR Directors and their employees for detailed benefits explanation.
- Claims resolutions and general questions regarding employee benefits
- Process benefit changes with the carriers
- Learn and understand benefit plan summaries
- Working with excel based proposal – understanding numbers associated with the proposal
- Develop and maintain a strong business relationship with existing clients to provide additional support to the advisors on the account
- Detail oriented, resourceful – strong decision-making skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills and client service skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 2-4 years preferred experience with Group benefits or Customer Service required
- Ability to obtain a valid Life and Health Insurance within 90 days from DOH
- Working knowledge and understanding of group benefits, COBRA, HIPPA, Compliance
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook
- Can learn and understand summary plan descriptions for several different carriers, and have claims management skills
- Exceptional customer service skills and be able to easily build relationships with clients at all levels.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple renewals with multiple advisors
- Must be able to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
