Maintain Client safety at all times; monitor and record Client behavior during the assigned shift; transport and/or direct Clients to appointments; coordinate client transportation, apartment maintenance, food shopping, and general client daily needs as well as provide a structured living experience while Clients are in the residence. Adhere to and reinforce policies and procedures related to Client care; take direction from the Residential Shift Supervisor(s) and Director of Clinical Services

Ensure that all apartment rounds are done, and that clients are adequately supervised at all times. Position will ensure clients attend all necessary groups and activities. Position will maintain optimum communication with Residential Supervisor / Shift Supervisor.

Initiates and maintains frequent and close working relationships with other residential staff and clients.


Position Responsibilities


Essential Responsibilities
.

  • Addresses and understands clients with mental health and/or substance abuse difficulties.
  • Supports the clinical staff in administering the level system for the clients.
  • Implement program rules in a manner that is respectful of the client and their individual needs.
  • Develops a professional rapport with clients through interactions that are firm, fair, and consistent.
  • De-escalates clients and remains solution-focused during crises
  • Facilitate House Group, Morning Reflection, and New Client Orientation.
  • Facilitates client groups as needed, including House Group, Morning Reflection, New Patient Orientation.
  • Assists with client admissions and discharges, as needed.
  • Maintains appropriate contact with Residential Supervisor and Clinical staff concerning client behaviors.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Takes accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks.
  • Conveys information and ideas in a clear, meaningful, and timely manner.
  • Completes assignments or tasks and maintains client safety in a busy environment.
  • Effectively utilizes company computer programs.

Performs other related duties, as required and assigned

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in a mental health and/or substance abuse treatment setting.


Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to communicate with peers/general public and clients
  • Job performance will require the ability to move throughout the building as well as sit or remain stationary for extended periods of time
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to talk or hear, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell.
  • Ability to move 25 pounds
