Job Description for Registered Behavioral Technician

In fulfilling these responsibilities, this individual will model behavior that supports TLS mission of “to serve, with excellence, children with autism and related special needs, in their natural environment. To educate the whole child through a multi-disciplinary approach that meets each child’s individual needs and facilitates the highest level of success”.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent must be completed
- Must have a current aid permit and new background checks
- Must be trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
- Be in network with client providers
Responsibilities:
- Assists the BCBA in implementing behavioral programming in a 1:1 setting.
- Collects data on all programming and writes progress notes.
- Advises and consults with the family and other agency personnel.
- Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures.
- Participates with all other educational and therapeutic professionals in patient care planning.
- Attends all staff meetings and patient care conferences as scheduled.
- Communication with teachers, therapists, and parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information.
- Immediately reports to BCBA any patient incidents/variances or complaints.
- Adheres to Agency standards and consistently interprets and accurately performs all assigned
- Maintains acceptable attendance status
- Appearance is always within Agency standards; is clean and well groomed.
- Demonstrates effective time management skills
- Maintains clean and neat work environment.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking and decision making.
- Maintains current CPR certification.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be willing to travel to all of The Learning Spectrum's facilities, as needed.

Physical Demands:
- Must have the physical ability to intervene with students’ physical behaviors
- Must have the ability to transport and physically support students needed for safety purposes
