BCS Housing Coordinator - Grand Rapids, MI Job at AmeriCorps
Equip the community and sponsoring organization with the initial support necessary for the refugee resettlement process. Equip refugee clients with the potential for self-sufficiency. Build lasting connections with landlords, community partners, and local donors to build a healthy future for newly arrived refugees in the United States.
Member Duties : 1) Participate in efforts to recruit local churches to be cosponsors for refugees in Grand Rapids. 2) Recruit and organize volunteers to assist with housing move-ins for clients before they arrive. 3) Assist with moves as needed. 4) Create outlines of volunteer projects for various programs, with a specific emphasis on helping clients understand housing issues.
