Bear’s Cup at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure is seeking people who have a love for coffee, work, great benefits and $$$$ for its new location opening early 2023. Whether you've never brewed coffee or have extensive Barista experience, we would love to see your application!

The pay range is $16 - $20 per hour plus tips, which are expected to be exceptional as we cater to a large resort like community that includes golfers from two courses. Tips are estimated to add an additional $8-$10/hr to your pay.

Full time and part time positions are regularly scheduled 8-10 hour shifts. As a Rumbling Bald Associate, you will also benefit from access to all onsite amenities plus discounts on food, spa services, boat rentals, merchandise and golf. Full-time benefits are available upon hire and include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401k, PTO and Sick pay. There is unlimited growth potential within the company!

Hours of operation will be Monday through Sunday 7am until 5pm. Hiring and comprehensive training begins mid-January 2023

The Bear’s Cup "Starbucks We Proudly Brew” coffee pub will serve coffee, tea, smoothies, wraps, pastries, casual beverages and beer. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions:

• Prepare all coffee and espresso beverages and food menu.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Perform opening/closing duties, cash-handling, cleaning, and some prep-work.

Skills & Abilities:

• Requires the ability to work independently and with others, anticipate customers needs and multi-task with frequent interruptions.
• Requires exceptional verbal, written and organizational skills.
• Must be able to follow instructions, understand recipes, and accurately measure ingredients.
• Requires the ability to stand and move quickly (multitask) for the full duration of your shift (this is a fast-paced job).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a must, as some local travel is occasionally required.
• Must be reliable, punctual and bring a great work ethic.
• Experience in a coffee environment is highly preferred, but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements include the ability to:

• talk, hear and speak with others using clear and professional language;
• endure long periods of standing or walking;
• move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 15 pounds without assistance;
• reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping and use hands and fingers to handle, or feel;
• meet highest standards of personal grooming; and,
• drive vehicle for performance of job duties.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
