Located at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Jackson’s landmark ski-in ski-out hotel, Caldera House defines mountain luxury. Located on level 2 of the House, Southcable Cafe is the hottest breakfast and lunch hub at the base of JHMR. Position Summary

The Barista position prepares and serves food, coffee, and other cafe drinks in a fast paced, high quality environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Stock and clean the barista station, maintain organization throughout the entire shift
• Operate coffee making equipment
• Report customer complaints to the manager or supervisor on duty
• Regularly handle and serve beverages and food items
• Answer customer questions
• Maintain a cash drawer and cash out at the end of a shift to ensure the proper amount
• Close guest checks using cash or credit cards
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the cafe, and disinfect surfaces throughout shift
• Assure compliance with local Health Department and company guidelines in regards to food handling and drink preparation.

Qualifications

• Must be a current resident of the Jackson Hole area or be committed to relocating to the Jackson Hole area
• Barista experience an asset, but not required
• Ability to work in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Flexible schedule and ability to work morning and/or afternoon shifts
• TIPs certification (if not already certified, employer paid)
