Wurst Haus, in West Hartford, CT, is looking for a barback to join our team. The right person should be passionate about hospitality and great food and beverage done right. Wurst Haus, a part of the Bean Restaurant Group family of restaurants, serves German and European fare paired with the largest German beer selection in the area. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional experiences.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
- Maintain the cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas.
- Coordinate with bartenders, kitchen staff, and management on food and beverage orders to ensure sufficient service to customers. Communicate with customers on status of orders.
- Prepare and maintain bar stock, including liquors, beers, wine coolers, glassware and ice.
- Keep the bar stocked with garnishes, syrups, glasses, napkins and all other necessary items before and during service hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Passion for food/beverage
- A team player with a hospitality first mentality and a keen willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk and lift heavy items for extended periods of time
- Two years experience preferred, but we will train the right restaurant candidate who shows a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment
WORK SCHEDULE
This part-time position includes day and evening shifts as well as weekend shifts.
